You won't break it, just give the main vents a good pull and it'll come free.

The Android unit is an interface on top of the iDrive, so for my MMI, I hold down the Menu button and it puts me back into the BMW interface.

I've had one place tell me my ENTRY system is CIC and another that it's NBT. Any ideas?

Thats an nbt connection.. i have same unit.
