355i Stock Exhaust vs MPE
Hello Folks.
I live in Brazil and have a F30 355i I've been thinking about doing some upgrades on my car, but as some of you guys already know, the prices here are crazy. I am struggling to figure out a way to import a MPExhaust or an Akrapovic in order to start upgrading my car but it will arrive here costing 2 times more. So I started wondering... What if i just buy a catless downpipe, intake and JB4 stage 2, how good the performance would be ? How restrictive the stock mufler really is ? |

It's 335i Riquedp.
While the stock exhaust isn't the most restrictive part of the overall exhaust system, if you're getting a tune, intake and downpipe, getting a full cat-back exhaust system would most likely enhance everything by opening up the flow, and add a few hps (not to mention opening up the engine and exhaust sound/vibrations). Harder to quantify though, but I'd guess 8-12 hrs? In conjunction with everything else. The MPE is only axle back, so not as free flowing as a full cat back would be. Hope that helps. |
