First off im sorry with whats going on with your mother, family is the most important thing.

Secondly, even through all that, you couldnt find 20 minutes to clear this all up and go to the post office? The fact that you decided to keep the money and then continue to ignore people when they tried to contact you tells me that you had ill intent. It seems that you dont care about other people on this forum because when someone feels like they've been scammed, it can be a real stressful thing for them. Your apology is a step in the right direction but the fact that you are capable of betraying the trust between members on the forum will NOT be forgotten.
