335i N54 - No boost - Loud Exhaust?

Now there's your problem!

Not seen this one before.

Just one of these very unfortunate things to happen.
I thought it was going to be the famous wastegate issue, and I was close, but I've never seen the pin snap on the penny valve arm before

Ah well, off to welder it is!

Wow, RHD. Indeed, good luck welding that on the car. I assume you're going to have to pull the turbo to do that. Ugh, at least the rear turbo is easier to get off/on!

It should weld juts fine with a TIG set.

Just questionable if it has to be taken off or not. We shall see.

Ive been running turbo setups for 11 years. I've never seen that happen in all my time in the scene. I would try to make BMW replace it free as a defect. Worth a shot.

Yeah, same here. Just unlucky I guess.

I know what you mean about approaching BMW, but I wouldn't trust them to fix my lawnmower.
I know my tuner will do a great job, however it needs to be done.

Nice save! That's like making a one handed catch and dragging your toes for the touchdown in the back of the endzone
