Forge DV Question

Hey guys I have two dumb questions about Forge DV's. 1) What are the round spacers that are included used for, do they need to be added when changing from the green spring to yellow? 2) Do most guys running the forge DV's hear any audible sound when letting off because I don't. Thanks guys.

I hear my dvs when letting off but I also have DCI. The spacers are to fine tune the spring but I have never used them. I have the yellow springs installed and have no problems even with stock tune.

At stock boost you won't hear them as much, but will be a little louder than stock dv's.

No need to use the spacers.

Then you should definitely hear them, will sound noticing louder than stock, but not like a bov.

Are you using the correct color springs for your boost level? (I forget which color it's been a while, but it's in one of the older forge dv threads on here)

Edit: this is on a manual, not sure if autos let go of the boost similarly....

If you still have your cowl installed, and you have them setup in recirculate mode instead of plugging those and venting them to atmosphere, it's still going to be fairly quiet; especially if you have the sound damping mat on the underside of your hood.

That said, with mine vented to atmosphere, and the cowl removed, I can hear them clearly even on map0.

Oh good point, almost forgot - removing the sound damper mat underneath the hood allowed me to hear the forge dv's and the engine better, and this is with the cowl still installed.
