New FOB problems
OK so its not so much of a problem as it is a bit of a pain but none the less here it goes.
Lost on of my FOB's 6 months after I got the car, finally got around to replacing it (2 years later) Driving around and realize that with the new FOB the lane change signal doesn't work. Now the the turn signal works but you know when only tap the turn signal and it sets the blinker off 3 times for when you change lanes, that does not work. It works with the other FOB, just not the new one. Is there a setting somewhere I have to change to get it to work, if so where do I find that setting. Any help would be great. Thanks |

EACH key fob remembers how EACH driver set up the car electronics. With the new key fob... go into the BC or iDrive and setup your prferences for turn signals, flashing the lights when locking, lonking and unlocking the car, and how long you want the headlights to remain on, and IF you want the doors to lock when you forger to lock them.
The key fob also remember's seat position(if you have power seats) and radio and HVAC settings. AND when you have it all done and setup... don't forget to drive occasionally with each key fob in the "slot" to charge the key. (that is only IF you do not have CA comfort access). Dack
