Italy is not a contender for the finals consider they didnt really perform well in the past two matches.

The finals will be either be (no italy):

Argentina has a good chance especially when messi and riquelme are untouchable and they have maradona cheering by their side.

Brazil, no comments

Germany has homeground advantage and klose's head, lahm's crazy shots and ballack

I dont HATE brazil.. i just highly DISLIKE them ha ha..

But if you think about it... Usa played HORRIBLE agaisnt the Czech. Everyone thought they were worthless, and basically gave up any hope that they could actually beat Italy. But they played strong, and gave up a very good fight.

And look at Ghana, everyone thought they were going to be destroyed by Czech, and look what happened.. Ghana 2-0. Also, Ukraine lost 0-4 their first game, now they won 4-0..Crazy! This is what i love about the world cup and soccer, you just never know.

Italy may have played 75% the past 2 games, but that doesnt mean they will be showing 50% on thursday. This game w/ the Usa was a big wake up call. I think they will improve tremendously just like Usa, because Italy knows its now or never.

From the way italy has been playing, ill admit, i dont think they can make it to the finals either. They will really have to step up their game, especially on thursday. They absolutely cannot lose to the czech or they will be out. As Marcello Lippi stated "Our playoffs begin now".

well, what u said about italy can also b said 4 brazil, thier performance was also v bad, less than what anyone expected

brazil wont make it to the final if they continue playing like this...

as for germany, i have to admitt, they r pretty scary, looks unstoppable!!!!

yesterday's match was the proof, it feels like germany is going to the final, but i hope italy will surprice us with an astonishing performance in the next matches...
