To take accurate pictures of the angel eyes, please try to take the picture from 15 or more feet away from the car. Also be looking directly at the angel eyes from eye level. This will result in the best pictures of the LUX H8 angel eyes.
Marc, will the outer rings look dim if you are standing really close to the headlights?

I noticed that if I'm standing really close, or looking at it at an angle, the outer rings look dim or its light are broken. Is this normal?
Yes, please see my response below

Yes. due to the design of the rings, then only visible from certain angles. If you are too close the the headlights or looking down at them you will not be able to see them correctly.

On Their Way!

Your package from LUX Angel Eyes is on its way. You can track it online using this tracking number. Got my confirmation today. Will be lucky if they get here early next week as they are coming to Italy. I will post after install.

Currently there are not instructions for the X5, however we are working on making them. The installation is similar to the E90 LCI install so you can use that as a reference for now. Thank you!

The LUX H8 V3 produce just under 900 lumen, which is much brighter then a stock halogen bulb

I already posted this elsewhere, but I'll post it here instead for the benefit of the whole forum.

I have a question. From the pictures available, it looks to me that the LUX H8 is just as bright as the OEM LCI angel eyes. You say that from a certain angle, you can't see the LUX H8, but I haven't noticed this problem with the LCI angel eyes. Does that mean that the OEM and LUX angel eyes work differently? I know I can see the OEM angels from a mile away at any angle. If the LUX H8s are the same in that you can see them very well from a long distance, I'll be placing an order tomorrow

Very good question!!!

First off by design the E92 and the LCI LED angel eyes are VERY different.

The LCI LED angel eyes are more similar to the e90 pre-lci angel eyes where they have a light source split to the 2 rings. Each of the rings will light up evenly, and due to the shape of the ring itself you are able to see the light.

With the E92 headlights the 2 rings are completely different. There is a nice cut-away diagram somewhere which i will look for. The inner ring will be brighter because the bulb is located in the middle ring and about 80% of the light goes directly forward making this ring bright. The outer ring is lit by 2 fiber optic tubes that carry light from the light bulb. The light bounces off little plastic ridges with reflect the light and make it visible. Due to the shape of the outer ring, you can only see the ridges when viewed from the front of the car

When you are looking at the 2 cars side by side, from a distance they will look similar, but from and angle they will appear much different. I hope this answers your questions

You can see them from far away. I still need to get pics up, my bad.

Install on an x5 is seriously easy as hell, so much room in there and everything just stuffs inside pretty easy. Only problem you might encounter is left headlights doesn't have as much room as right since there's a brace over the lights.

Received and installled today.. very nice!
Installation started slow but I figured a trick. Unless you have pencil fingers this will help.
Mark the bulbs like suggested ..this will set tab positions.
Once you drop the bulb in, use a small screwdriver in between the heat sink slots and guide the tabs I'm and twist cw so it tightens onto the housing.

The only issue i'm seeing with the install is turning the bulb to lock in place. Looks like it might be tough considering you have to turn it by hand on a slick aluminum surface.

Getting the bulb into the hole is a pain in itself.
