You are partially correct, the F10 driving dynamics are not close to the F30 dynamics. However, compared to the F34(3GT), they will be very close. In addition to weight, wheelbase has a large impact on driving dynamics. Wheelbase lengths: F30: 110.6in F34: 117.7in F10: 116.9in The F34 has a longer wheelbase than the F10 cars and is only ~50lb lighter when comparing cars with the same engine. My point is that the 3GT will drive more like a 5-series than a 3-series. Of course we will have to wait for real world driving comparisons, but numbers don't lie. Unfortunately, no dealers in San Diego offer the F11 for sale. Although, ynguldyn brought up an option...everyone who needs legroom and cargo space should move to Europe

The Chevy Tahoe is 5400lbs, making the X3 sleek and good looking.

I haven't been on this forum too long so I cannot compare the release of the GT with other models. How long does it normally take from the release of a new model till when we see reviews in the motoring press? It seems at this stage that only Auto Bild were fortunate to get their hands on one for review. Why would BMW only release it to one publication for testing?

Debate all you want. To me, the fat GT is to the Touring as a fat Tahoe is to an X3. |

To the contrary. The assertion you made that the 308lbs more than the 328i on the GT made it look fat and ugly is absurd. Fat and ugly is an opinion of the exterior design and held in the eye of the beholder. The assertion I made was an attempt at subtly applying your own assertion to the X3 and the GT thinking it would render it explicit. Apparently it finally took.
