F30 Cluster power cycles randomly suspected short after repair.

2014 Bmw 320i x-drive
Transmission fault
Replaced turbo then 1 week later instrument cluster powers off, back on. Heads up displays Transmission Malfunction. Drive moderately. Set parking break while stopped. Possible to engage gear without depressing the brake pedal.

Car is in limp mode and sporadically bings with Transmission fault, instrument cluster powers off/on. Sometimes constantly, sometimes 2 times, usually on bumps but not always. Seems like some sort of short to or from the TCU. Quick look at the exhaust didnt have any hanging cables. Auto shop wanted 2500 for diagnosis and instrument cluster replacement with the attempt to reset the controllers.

I read somewhere about a common short on or around the TCU but could not find the article. About to research what and where the wiring harnesses are. Car drives fine with some fine bmw warning music. And the occasional secure vehicle while moving in reverse where the transmission puts itself into park every once in awhile.

Also noticed no gear indicator.

Any ideas on where to look. Ill have time to tear it apart here soon to finally fix this issue once and for all. I just need an idea where to look.
