255/40 R18 fit on 2013 328i xDrive

Sorry if I missed the answer - did some searching here and am pretty confident but want to be sure before I buy them.

I have a 2013 328i Xdrive (base) and want to buy the staggered 400M sport wheels (7845880/7845881) and install (found this factory tire spec here) 225/45-18 front / 18x8.5" 255/40-18 rear. This should fit right? Will a need/want spacers?

With 400m your gunna want a 12mm spacer in front and a 15mm spacer in the rear. Have this on my car the wheels are perfectly flush with the fenders with 225/45/18.
Can’t comment on the 255/40 tire on 400m but I believe some have done it. 255/40 will be really beefy on 8.5” wheels. Consider 245/40, downside is it will measure 25.7” tall. Oem 225/45/18 is 26” tall.

thanks for the help - you said "want" so I want to be sure. Do you think I will want, or NEED the spacer?

Aha I more meant it as that’s the size of spacers you’ll want to make your 400m fit really nicely if you decide the cost is worth it to you for aesthetics. No one in reality NEEDS spacers for oem wheels. Ahah

[QUOTE=Erock8485;30914720]Awesome - thank you!

If you do decide to go with a wider tire than oem then my suggest for spacer size won’t be quite ideal.
