Help! How do I stop anti-trap warning?

My right rear window regulator failed and I took the door apart (thanks to the DIY instructions on this site!) and found that the cable was all messed up. I removed the entire regulator and rigged the window with some wood and a couple screws so it stays up and just ordered a new regulator with motor on ebay.

That was just before I left for vacation and I was driving without any problem. However, when I returned and started up the car, this warning appeared I keep getting a loud 'DING!' and message on the display that says 'Power window anti-trap failure' and it goes off about every 10 seconds or so while I'm driving.

I've seen a number of posts about this, but not one had a sure-fire method for shutting this off. I have a 2006 330xi with navigation, if that's of any significance.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can solve this. I drive a lot and this is making me crazy!

Not sure about the fix but you could always unplug that little speaker under the driver footwell to eliminate the ding until you get the regulator fixed. Just a thought.

I'm not sure about this, but did you look into coding it out? (if it's even possible)

Probably because you completely removed the regulator. The car is freaking out because you're missing one.

I drove it after first removing it...for at least a week, and wasn't having any issues. It started when I drove it after returning from vacation the other day.

Hmmm. I looked under that but couldn't figure out exactly where it's located. Can you point that out a little better to me???
