Is this worth fixing?

Last weekend I got into an accident and thankfully no one was hurt. I ended up scraping across a guard rail and it looks like there is some serious undercarriage/suspension damage. My auto body shop is going to put it up on a lift some time next week to look at the damages, but I just want to get an idea of what to expect moving forward.

If I were planning to keep the car long term (at least 5+ years) then fixing it for 10K doesn't sound too bad in the long run right?

I'm not sure why my last 2 pics appear upside down, if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know

Doesn't look like 10k in damages honestly. I'd pay a visit to maybe a BMW dealership authorized body shop and see if the damage cost adds up the same as the original quote you got.

I haven't gotten an official quote from my auto body shop yet, but I just assumed worst case scenario about 10K to fix, hopefully there is no serious damage

Looks like:
- Control Arm
- Side Skirt
- Maybe one or two plastic pieces
- A good detail

Looks like it could be fixed for about 3k or less. Not sure or not if the steering knuckle is damaged but that would raise the price up a bit possibly. Certainly, a fixable deal though.

I also factored in new wheels and tires because it looks like my two front wheels are damaged, not sure if they'll be able to repair it. Also, have a cracked windshield as well.

Take your best body shop guess, i.e. what you think is a reasonable repair estimate and multiply by 3, that should put that cost in the ballpark.

Looks like the suspension failed like it's supposed to hopefully with no subframe damage. However, looks like it should all be fixable without too much hassle and get you back on the road.

Update:

So it looks like there was more damage then I anticipated. My left and right suspension as well as steering is severely damaged.
I've been researching parts and there are many sites that claim to sell OEM parts like getbmwparts and bmwpartsupply. Are they trust worthy?

Does anyone have any other recommendations for securing OEM parts for better pricing?

FCP Euro is reputable and offers a lifetime warranty on all their parts. I ordered a new upper windshield rubber trim from them and it arrived very quickly.

getbmwparts was awesome the last time I used it... it was also very cheap for the taillights I needed when mine died. I got brand new LCI taillights for $108 all in, and they were perfect. other sites were charging triple.

I had someone tap my car while pulling out of the drive way a month after I bought the car. No body damage but bent left rear wheel, kind of damage you'd get if you drift into a curb. Insurance covered and of course this is dealer crazy man pricing but the cost was around 7.5k to repair. Involved taking the whole rear assembly out and replacing multiple parts as they couldn't get the alignment right with just the suspension parts. Not sure what that translates into for your case exactly but wanted to share how a little tap was so involved to get back to perfect. Good luck with it brother.

If they total that out, that'd be a great pick up for cheap. Doesn't look too bad to repair from the pictures.

Side note, did the car fall off the jackstand? In the upside down pictures it looks like you made a crater in the asphalt!

Wow 7500 is pretty costly for a little tap. Do you know how many parts of the suspension they replaced? Also replaced the bent rim i assume?
