camera options?
with that being said... i dont have 1000 dollars for a camera or even close really. but i wanna start to save for one. whats the best one for the money? i have always loved taking pics but have never had a good enough camera to do it and have it be worth it lol.
And i dont wanna have to rely on friends to do it when... i could just do it myself. lol |

I have a canon rebel T2i. Simple. Nothing crazy. One of the best investments I've ever made. I never thought I could see myself as into photography the way I am now.
Go to an electronics department store. A lot of them have financing options.

It's not the camera body. It's the lens that makes a huge difference. I have a t2i. The body used can be had for ~$300. Then invest in a nice lens. Spend some time on YouTube tutorials.

Start off with an entry level dslr. Canon or Nikon, Or even buy used. I started with a canon 20d and I loved it. You can really get an understanding of how the system works and from that point on you can start building your lens collection. Then when youre ready to upgrade you can go for a nicer body.

I recommend this camera for a first. It's the Nikon P510. Zoom on it is crazy! 24-1000mm of zoom with one lens. So your not losing lens caps or having to spend tons of money on multiple lens's and crap like that. It can do macro (very close up) photography and it's 16 mega pixels. Only down fall is the batterie is good for a little over 200 pics and you have to charge the batterie in camera. But! You can buy multiple batteries and I'm sure they will make a charger thy allows you to charge the batterie outside o the camera. It can shoot movies, it's highest ISO setting is 3200 so you can get alright pictures when the lighting is dark or whatnot. It's just an all around goo camera, I friend o mine uses it for wildlife photography and she gets pretty good pictures with it. So for $450 and a zoom of 24-1000mm with one lens with macro, video and so many other options I think this is the best bang for your buck man!

T2i would be a great choice to start with. I shoot with one myself. Should be pretty cheap now new or used.
As jm3as said, don't worry about spending gobs of money on a top of the line camera body. The lens will make the most difference. Once you get better and the capabilities of the body become a limiting factor in what you're trying to shoot, then you can think about getting a better body.

I have the 18-135 mm lens. Awesome middle of the road lens that you can keep on and take it anywhere and works with virtually any application. My next purchase will be a wide angle prime lens like a 28mm
