This was the front, not max drop

I didn't measure the rear but the top of the tire was in the fender (no gap).

It's currently in the dealership getting raised to 5mm below recommended.

That's interesting because this is in the instructions linked on the first page of this thread:

And here is one of the pictures I made sure the techs had even though it appears to have come from an instruction manual:

Update.... I had excessive rattling under the passenger seat that began after the MP install. My wife found the front spring saddle installation tool. Hahahaha

I have no idea how it ever could have got there....

I've just had my springs readjusted after settling the springs in. The way this car handles now is considerably better than the standard set up. It corners flat and feels more comfortable it sports + than before I had the kit installed. Seriously impressed.

Ha, now the dealership is quoting $550 to raise it.

Get fucked.

My dealership is awesome.

I'm pretty sure mine didn't do the anti tamper mark because they also never got around to the sticker installation. Not complaining. They also didn't charge me for any of the nuts or bolts.

I've already told them absolutely not. I clearly told them where I wanted it set (it even says it on my original work order) they completed the install much, much lower. Either way, they were going to take the time to redo the measurement and reset the height.

This is totally on them.

It's at the service manager level now. If they refuse, easy, BMW NA is going to hear about it and the BBB.

Picked up my car today. Dealership agreed to cover it after two phone conversations. They keep my business.

BMW recommended height looks real good. Pictures later

That tool is included with the MP springs to install and remove the spring seats on the front shocks. I would put this in a safe place if you ever want to return to stock.

has anyone installed these themselves? I can't imagine it's that difficult. Maybe I'm wrong.

it sounds like if you have the i-level with edc update or beyond you wouldnt have to bring it in for software.

So that's the difference in price between the MP and KW kits.... Definitely a $700 tool.

Rear axle installation problem

Unfortunately, it seems almost impossible for me to put on the back springs (passenger's side) in the correct way.

As picture below shows (left side), main and helper spring at passenger's side rear axle do not seem to be in right position. Helper spring does not sit right onto the main spring and it looks a little bit slanted.

On the other hand, at driver's side, helper spring aligns with main spring so nicely that they both make a perfect single cylinder-like shape.

I was not aware of this problem until I try alignment work because it looks nice when all four wheels were off the ground for installation (tension has not applied to the springs).

However, as soon as tires touch ground (helper spring begins to be compressed), helper spring comes off from where is should be placed.

Is there anyone who's having same or similar trouble like me?
Is there any important tips or notes for installation to avoid this kind of trouble?

Please let me know

My guess would be that the main spring's rubber seat (the one between the main spring and control arm) is not properly oriented. This is just a guess as your photos do not capture that area.

I started to type this exact reply yesterday. It's almost certainly that the rubber lower seat is not sitting on the control arm correctly.

There is a rubber locating pin on the seat that fits in the control arm, picture here shows the pin: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=33_1822
