Texas Octane??

Just wanted to know what the highest octane gas that is sold in TX (specif. Austin). They seem to notoriously not show what the premium octane is in most gas stations (very different than cali)... I've only seen a 93 shown in one place I've filled up... and I only fill up at Chevrons if that makes a diff...

Thanks

93 is premium all over texas. if you want higher, you'll have to find somewhere in austin that has it.

yep, welcome to oil country. finding race gas isn't hard either. there are probably a dozen dealers in austin.

I kinda figured...but what's up with not being able to know the octane for each type of gas at the pump... am I missing something?

it should be posted like everywhere else. look harder. i've never come across a pump that doesn't have the octane rating posted. i'm pretty sure that's a legal thing they must post.
