Bootmod3 Exhaust Valves Configuration

I searched through every thread I could find but couldn't find the answer to my question, so I'm hoping someone here can. I'll get straight to it.

I have an F30 N55 335i which i just put onto stage 1 (so to say) with bm3. The car already had MPPK with MPE and I installed a CTS charge pipe as well.

After flashing stage 1, I tried using the exhaust valve open option in Sport and it seems to work fine when I have "Drivetrain & Chassis" selected in the iDrive. However, if I want to have sport chassis/suspension without sport throttle, I select "Chassis only" in the iDrive, and then the sound gets much quieter, like its in Comfort and the valves are closed.

So, is there some way of working around this to get Comfort throttle but with open exhaust valves? (And I'm looking for a way that does not include buying a valve controller or just pulling the fuse)

Is that on their current maps? I thought you could have your cake and eat it to as they say.

I'd ping BM3 and ask. They are super responsive to questions (from my experience).

Not that I've seen. There isn't any option to enable open valves in Comfort mode from what I've seen. I'll definitely hit them up and see what they have got to say though. Appreciate the response!

You could use the Bimmerlink app to open the valves when in comfort or whatever mode. It's not ideal but it works. That's your best solution if BM3 can't do it and without buying a hardware valve controller.

This is definitely a compromise as you have to re-open it in BimmerLink every time you start the car. I did this for a while then decided to remove the clip and safety wire the physical valve open

I agree. Bootmod3 Diagnostics in the mobile app has the same option to open, close, or auto the exhaust valves, but as Max said, it resets every time the car is turned off.

If I don't find something out then I might just end up disconnecting the plug to the valves and zip tie it to something under the car. Hopefully, that's a last resort as I'd prefer something that can be done via software.

I'm also in talks with proTuningFreaks as of now to see if they have a fix. If I find anything I'll update here.
