mSport Package tales
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Wanted to start this to see what people have heard or might know about the mSport package. I heard from my dealership here in Germany that the mSport package was going to be an add-on on top of the sport line. This might make sense since the interview I saw the guy said that the mSport body/interior might be separate from the performance options(steering/suspension/breaks/etc). I don't know about prices though. He also said it might be $3,200. Thoughts. thanks in advance!!! |

At first i thoguht it would be more than 4000, but then it sounds like some things will still be optional like the adaptive suspension...
prob will find out in the next few weeks

yea I also heard it will be a new line, but it is basically the sport line but with mSport exterior/interior (steering wheel) aka SSDD(same shit different day). Also sounds like the adaptive suspension, steering, etc will be optional/additional cost.
They really need to come out with the details. |

Why people like to create confusion. For USA, it was stated clear in various venues that the M-Sport will be another Line (a fourth line).
You could NOT choose Sport AND M-Sport Lines together on the same car!!!!!!!! |

The point of this is not to confuse it is to try to clear things up and talk about options that come with sport package, how much and as always anything you have heard.

The Euro order guide basically shows all the options available with the M Sport.
Just go through it and guess what BMW USA will make standard in the USA. Until they release official info on what tehy chose, its all speculation. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=628998

Why does everyone think that there is some confusion about the M Sport Package? All of the details were in the October F30 Press Release. Go find that and read it!
It clearly states that there will be 3 "Lines", Modern, Luxury, and Sport and the M Sport Package. It will not be "on top of" the Sport Line. BMW put out this information and it is the definitive word on the M Sport Package, regardless of what you hear from any dealership.

In an Ontario BMW dealership today the guy was able to pull up the dealer specs for the M sport package but there was no pricing and it said "available summer 2012". The features in the list did not include the paint or the dakota leather. Although I don't think this means they're excluded.
Price wise he speculated $4000....but adding M-sport to a 2012 135i is $2100.....so hard to say The only thing in the list of features that implies a performance change from adding M-sport is the suspension. Brakes are on the list but it says "optional"....and it was hard to tell if that refers to the caliper colour or the actual brakes. |
