Getting Faster???

Is it just me or does anybody else feel that their E90 325 or 330 is getting faster? I have the 325 with the six manual and I would swear that it is more than a little faster now at 8k than at 3k. I am talking about 10-15% faster. Is it just that the engine is broken in? Am I better at driving it and handling what was a little bit a of a weird clutch to get used to?

I am telling you people...It is just plain faster!

CRAZY?

No you are not crazy, it happens on most cars. It happened with my E46 and is happening (slowly) with my E90 330.

My father has 23,000 miles on his MB E500 and there hasn't been one day that passed (when he visits) to tell me that he feels more & more like Kimi Raikkonnen on an F1 track each time he gets into his car.

i am not sure if the engine is broken in and the car is faster. my car is at 7000+ miles, when i changed my oem wheels to aftermarket, it seem to be accelerating faster, could be the lighter wheels but could be that t he engine is broken in too.....either its a plus :rocks:

Any reduction in weight in the wheels can only help offset the extra weight of the run-flats so, break-in or not .... it's definitely a plus in the acceleration dept.

So I can look forward to even better performance as the days, weeks and months go by.

Sounds good to me.

Mine has gotten faster in the last 800 kms on it......I have now about 7900 kms. Feels faster but not really sure until I race someone....
However, I was usually averaging about 8.6 Liters per 100 kms on the computer.....but since about 800 kms, I've been averaging about 9.3-9.6 liters per 100 kms. Not sure what calls for the increase in comsumption....and no, I'm not trying to drive the car any faster!

You're probably just stuck in more traffic now that people are coming back from vacation; that'll kill your mileage every time. Particularly if you're doing any commuting in Calgary. Darn trails get way too backed up!

9.6 is still pretty good though... I wish my car got that mileage! Hopefully my next one will
