Wait the reflectors aren't even behind the fender liners?
Excuse my laziness to go check my car, but I could have swore i can to take a few bolts off the fender liner to do this. I've been putting it off for weeks LOL |

I believe the e90 is more difficult than the e92/3. So I don't think my DIY applies to your car, sorry!

The bolts you feel behind the fender have nothing to do with the reflector, if I recall correctly. Basically, you just pry off the old reflector, clean off all the tape, and re-install using new tape. It's a total pain in the ass.
