clutch stop ??? anyone install one
in your e90/92?
if you dont know what it is it keeps the clutch pedal from going all the way to the floor so you can move the pedal faster. most BMW clutches have too much travel.

I don't know about any clutch stop, but I do know that Bimmer clutches have too much travel.

In the end couldn't this be harmful to gears/flywheel if you are not fully disengaged? I know there is a lot of travel, but I think you should take into consideration where it grabs.

I believe the consensus was that this non-ebay clutch stop (only 15 bucks!) is legit: http://www.khoalty.com/E9XInterior.html
...and actually, I just received mine in the mail today and am eager to try it out. Can post results if I get to it sometime soon...maybe this weekend

nop, it doesn't affect anything. i still have to pretty the clutch down (until it stops) in order to start the car. otherwise the car won't start.
and fwiw, on my car, the hill stop feature is also not affected as well

I have one and love it. I bought from a vendor here on the forum but I forget which one. You should be able to find it if you search. You could probably find something at home depot that you could use just as well too.
