245 30 20 on 8" wheels

I had a staggered setup with 225 35 20 front and 255 30 20 rear. My wheels are 8 inches front and 8.5 inches for the rear.

Would you guys thinks its a good idea to buy 4 x 245 30 20, its cheaper and theres way more choices in this size. Would this size fit on the front 8 inches wheels without looking weird?

or 255 30 20 square ?

personally, i wouldn't do it, but it will work if that's what you desire. visually, the front being slightly pinched will be unnoticeable unless pointed out. it will raise your total vehicle height 10mm and heighten your gearing by a small % that would cause slower acceleration, you're unlikely to notice this as well.

Thanks, sorry I edited the thread almost in the same time I saw your reply.

based on tire size calculator, 245 30 20 seems better, 25.8 inches for the diameter instead of 26 from the original tires size

245/30/20 will also work, however your wheel gap will increase because the sidewall is shorter.

255/30/20 is tecnically too wide for 8" front width because its pinching the sidewalls, however I've seen members force fit it anyway. In this case, the sidewall will not provide optimum support in performance but for normal driving you're not likely to notice.

If I had to run square, id do 235/35/20. however in this case, you're losing a lot of width in the rear compared to a 255/30/20.

if 255 square is desired, another option is to obtain 2 more 20x8.5 ET47 rears and use a 12.5mm spacer up front.

here is a set up with 4x 19x8.5 rears with 255/35/19 square. except he did 12.5mm spacer front+15mm spacer in rear.

however, if you do this you're spending more money on 2x wheels and spacers, so it defeats the savings you were trying to accomplish with running square tires.
