Catless Downpipe without tune

Hey, so I currently have a 16 328i n26 only with the injen intake.

I bought the vrsf catless downpipe and was thinking if there are any possible bad consequences to installing the dp without tunning it. Ive read some treads about running lean or hurting the engine but I wanted to make sure.

Also in regards to cel, is there any way without having to tune it? Thanks in advance!

Can't do it without a tune. You can still run that downpipe, but you will have a CEL

You can run the downpipe without a tune, you will trigger the CEL, but the car will run normally.

Why not tune the car? the bootmod3 in my opinion is the best upgrade you can do this car

You can definitely run it without a tune. Been doing it for the past year, no issues. Cel comes and goes depending on the weather. Sometimes my car takes 500km (310mi) for the cel to re-appear. Was going to by the tune this spring time, but bought the old lady "the ring" and that severely depleted my funds hahahaha

I do plan on tuning and bm3 is what im leaning towards, just not immediately after the dp but soon. Thanks!
