Hi retrofitted cruise control on a 2012 F30 318d. It works fine but it seems that activating the cruise control accelerates too aggresively to the chosen speed - much more so than accelerating by foot.

Is this normal? Is there something I should have adjusted during the coding?

It's not unusual. When I prefer to accelerate more gradually I increase the speed in 5MPH increments, ie, a long push on the rotary switch.

Is yours also retrofitted on 318d or stock?

Mine is stock CC 318d F31. If you put it into eco mode it accelerates sedatey, comfort mode quicker and sport mode very rapidly.
