Japan Imported Car To EU- Help with Nav

Hi guys, new here.

Just a question, I have a F30 330e on the boat from Japan arriving with me soon. The car of course is Japanese so will be on Japanese frequency and Japanese navigation.

Radio frequency I can code with bimmercode, no issues there.

My question: to get the maps changed over to EU, is it just the case of downloading latest EU maps and overwriting them on the car, or is there more of a process involved?

Thank you for your help

I can't speak for an F30 but I imported an E92 335i from Japan a few years ago which had the first generation of CIC. My only option was to replace the CIC unit as the GPS was locked to Japan and not ECE...but they are relatively cheap 2nd hand these days. Camera function on Google translate is very handy for changing the language setting to English in iDrive!

What's the VRT and Nox charges looking like on it?

first of all you need to provide the VIN of the car to see exactly what type of nav unit you have ! then we can provide you more details
