Just a data point. The H2M CBC uses oem bolts just longer ones. Here is my install for reference and pictures.
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=29681766 Not debating what is better but I opted for this CBC as the bolts were the same as oem.

Well if people really are confusing inch/ lbs and ft/lbs when torquing the bolts that is a huge problem. My guess is this isn’t all that’s happeneing here though
PS: I plan to buy ARP bolts direct from ARP to replace the ones that came in my kit |

This thread has me worried. Mines not my daily, so I'm not overly concerned since it hasn't been on my car very long. If i find it's moved even the slightest, i'm going to get new oem bolts and take the CBC off. I'd like to hear from VTT though.. |

If the instructions say in/lb...OMFG which is not going to keep this connected w/o moving, NO WONDER this is moving. That is nearly 3Nm!! That isn't even hand tight!! VARGUS kUaLiTy... gud luc wit dat! That should be 25ft/lb! As in the immortal words of Ozzy Man, that is destination fucked! I'm going to be all day on this one.

CBC doesn’t really do anything , their spline lock is definitely the best crankhub solution , my 4 pin practically failed.
These are definitely stress failures, When my bolts snapped off they were replaced with oem ones. You can look up those bolts they are manufactured by a company called McCmaster carr out of Illinois and I don’t belive they have the strength that oem bolts do. |

Care to elaborate on the 4 pin issue? Who made it, how long it is was in the car, what the failure looked like and/or any other information you can provide. Very interested as I have not heard of any pinned hub failing.
