you will have to recode after updates and you will also need to reset your presets after coding
Figured....and presets meaning radio/sat and all that other stuff right?

eeek.

He 100% told me to get Vgate WiFi but that was 7 or 8 months ago.

I have not had a single issue with my unit. Honest to god... I would never intentionally steer someone wrong...
Obviously I didn't get my unit yet but wondering on how to code. I assume the ignition must be on, vgate plugged into obd port, then connected to my iPhone with the BimmerCode app. Is it as easy as checking the options you want and that's it? Seems simple enough

yep, pretty simple to set it back up. I think losing presets only happens when you code within the FrontElectronicModule or Headunit. I can't remember which right now.

you will have to recode after updates and you will also need to reset your presets after coding
Question, since I paid through the app for the coding function and I'm all set.....that isn't a yearly subscription right?? One time?
