MMI Box - Mr12Volt experiences?
Hi all, looking for experiences of Mr12volt 'high audio quality' MMI box. There are a few comments but nothing much.
I'd like to know how people found the audio quality, and general usability. I'd rather avoid audio over Bluetooth or AUX. Also don't fancy connecting into the 3.5mm AUX. I will be using it for Android Auto (Spotify, Waze, Google maps mainly. Other apps will be useful though). I have NBT EVO ID4++ Thanks in advance.

I have had mmi prime and now mr12v on my e90s and I can say that mr12v is the way to go. The audio quality on mmi prime was absolutely awful, and had way more freezing/ glitches on mmi prime. Have been using mr12v for a couple months now and it has worked flawlessly and audio quality is excellent.

Also interested in what boxes folk are using. My 2016 has the S606 Business Nav but apparently it's a cut down version of NBT with the older CIC controller and 6.5" screen.
Mr 12V doesn't appear to support that, so the integrated Automotive box might be the only option, but I think the audio out has to go into the USB socket under the arm rest, which I'm not down for! |
