Drilled will end up lowering your brakes' efficiency. You need to get slotted disks.

Ok I'll have a look, if that's the case though why do the M cars come with drilled disks?

Genuine question, I know jack shit about this subject

I honestly have no answer to that. But I know for a fact that slotted are much much better. I will tell you what I know:
1) Drilled disks offer less contact surface with the pad, which leads to less brake force.
2) Drilled disks tend to warp under heat and then end up with cracks (If you see any old condition Porsche, you will notice it)
3) In Formula 1 they use vented disks like ours because it has the most contact surface I guess.

Another reason why people use drilled disks is: (Didn't think/know of this up until now)
"Drilled rotors are commonly used in drifting because the brakes are hardly used so they don't see the drawbacks from other forms of racing but they reduce weight".

=> Read SVT, and locate the "DSC" (File Folder SVT / ECU / DSC), then right-click the "DSC" folder and select "Code". Consolidation should start immediately.
=> Allow the coding is over, and repeat step 1 to save a copy of the new FA.
=> Disconnect the car's computer. The M-Performance brake is now activated and enjoy the authentic experience of M Performance brake.

it will also manually changed disk size in the DSC file

Thanks for the How To. I also added the HO Wort but i didnt see a change compared to my old cafd.

Can you please tell which parameters have changed after adding HO Wort.

My DSC Modul looks like the old one without added the SPBR.

Appreciate it.

I tested the brake before adding the SPBR option and found the braking less effective as the original.
the difference is just that there are better braking with the addition

Hi All, after ADDING SPBR and code the DSC, the disk rotor size information in Esys is not like some other posts has mentioned. The front rotor is not changeable to other value, and there is even no rear rotor item there. Does any one know why? Thank you very much.

The stock pads are actually too hard- F80 M3 will make the pedal correct.
And the coding to Sport Brakes option is obligatory.

Hello guys, I purchased the unpainted (silver) 4pot calipers from a 335i owner and planning to upgrade the front brake and rotors of the 428. Does this set up require coding?

The M Performance brakes have larger rear calipers and the only thing I can imagine coding doing is changing the values for the proportioning valve so that it will send more pressure to the rear and create more rear brake bias. Don't think you would want to do that with the standard rear calipers.

I did this to a 320in then also changed the rears to the bigger single piston setup from the 334I You don't need to code but as someone above said you can and might see a change in pedal feel I didn't code mine and was very happy with pedal feel anyway. I have since sold the car and returned it to stock I have the 335 rears available complete for $100 plus shipping if you if you can use them They fit x drive rears which used the larger parking brake drum

Hey guys I am posting to this because I am a bit confused.

I am following the instructions, I can't "edit" under HO-WORT I can only do "New". When I do that, I get a text icon for SPBR that looks correct to me:

But then I don't have calculate FA I have "calculate FP":

And after this I have no idea how to "activate the FA" and "write to car". Any help? Is calculate FP correct? Sorry for being obtuse!

All is right. Use New => SPBR and then Calculate FP.

Use this guide to Write FA to VCM, and VO Code DSC Module:

Excellent thank you! One question in the VO coding PDF it says

Read FA (VO). Activate FA (VO).

I don't remember seeing the option to "activate" - I have to check though

You have to right-click on "FA" at top, and select Activate, else you cannot code anything.
