ECS called me and are “making an exception” and mailing me a refund check. Nice of them to make an exception after I was their consumer R&D after a year.

Given the apparent Turner valved exhaust quality debacle, thinkin' the Supersprint Race F1 is a fit for me as well.

I ran SS F1 for a few years and loved it. I’m going back to it. You need the connecting pipes for the stock midpipe. That’s what I run.
No drone and the sound is great. Liveable below 6k rpm and screams above. Build quality is matched only by Akra. It’s handmade in Italy. 🇮🇹

So no drone at all with the F1? Can't remember but I think it uses Helmholtz chambers. Looking for something to pair with a resonated and catted X-Pipe that doesn't drone and narrowed it down to Dinan, OEM or MPE. Might have to add this to the list. Congrats on coming out on top at the end of all this. Probably doesn't even feel like much of a resolution. Definitely turned me off of their product. |

i currently have it paired with an evolve xpipe (Turner SS Exhaust) and it sounds amazing. ive had it on since the 2nd week of December, so far no issues or crazy noises. car gets driven hard time to time on backroads but no track time so not constant. hopefully it stays in good health.

New Supersprint F1 Race installed. It is much more tame than Turner Titanium with Open valves but I’m happy. Couple pics of my uninstalled Turner Titanium system and the Supersprint installed.

Got mine late 22 and had issues since day one with trumpet rasp around the 2-3k rpm with closed or open. Do you experience any sort of rasp or resonance around that rev range? Thanks Last edited by Aquila1; 01-30-2024 at 11:45 PM.. Reason: Additional Question |

No rasp or bad noises that would indicate a failure from the muffler section. I also purchased mine in November of 2022 and had it installed since then. I have put only about 1200-1500 miles on it though. I might be one of the lucky ones that got a good unit, or I’m on borrowed time. I have to say, I do love the sound of the exhaust and it is perfectly quiet with the valves closed. I hope it can continue to last, or at the very least I can have the muffler rewelded if the seams fail. I’m sorry that you are having issues with yours.

Turner Tatanium valved exhaust, cracked and blown out x 2
Turner replaced my Titanium valved exhaust last November. The sides of the muffler blew out. It seems that they are not welded securely or welded at all to the muffler body. I took it to a friend that can weld titanium and he said it could not be fixed in a way that would last. Material was very thin.
Turner replaced the unit and sent me a new one. I installed it and it lasted for about one hour of driving, then blew out the sides like the first one I had. I am going to go with the Supersprint race mufflers, trying to get a credit from Turner to purchase. |

I put a link for the video of the rattle below. Total POS! Never buying Turner/ECS again. I’m so incredibly disappointed in their product and customer support.

I have several mid-pipes (x&h) and rear mufflers, atm stock pipe modified to h-pipe and mpe it sounds moderate, like gentelmans car not to bother neighbourhood or for 50+ old peoples like i'am, Evolve plenum hearable,TUV/MOT acceptable. Supersprint race is louder, good sound, meistershaft gt is more louder also good sound. Race and GT tends to be bassy (Corsa probably most bassy for e9x), is F1 high pitch? No local e9x m3 community here to share expierencies, you just buy and try yourshelf. |

i also grabbed his defective Turner. I will get this repaired and document the fixes and exhaust bracing to prevent any future issues.

I do have Turner SS version installed for about 3K miles - so far all ok. But, I was swapping my transmission (while exhaust was off) and based on this thread, took the exhaust to a good fabricator in order to reenforce in advance before it fails. Fabricator declined to fix stating that the metal gauge is extremely thin. It can not be just welded at the seam. He suggested to just run it and act later in case of failure which is what I did so far. Not great but what are you going to do......

It would be great to find a replacement muffler of similar dimensions and internals concept to just swap (weld in) instead of trying to repair/reweld/rebrace Turner muffler. If anyone finds something in this nature please post it up

In addition, one of the theories was that the "burble" tune function can potentially cause muffler shocks/stress therefore contributing to cracking...... My tune is a No Burble tune (no failure for me yet!) and I am not sure if people with failures have burbles or not. Im not an expert on this but sounds somewhat logical especially with valves closed.....
