Hey Shawn, looking for a little help with E-sys. I was able to get it all installed and running. Now its asking for a est TOKEN. For the life of me I can't find one for 3.2.7. Is that something I have to pay for or am I using the wrong version? Should I be using some other system? I'm wanting to code my fob to close my mirrors.

It seems that the token has expired in the end of the year and its not rearned until now, there is a workaround in the topic:

I've just had my car flashed by dealer and old ESys is not working any longer.
Can I have please latest software ESys/pszdata etc?

I coded my 2017 F30 but the dealership updated my ECU.
I got the new PSDZ I think and tried the free tokenmaster 2.8.2 but it isn't working.

Can you send me a PM with info? (first post so in an hour I guess)

Also, what is the point of new versions of e-sys?

I have downloaded esys 3.27.1 w/ token master pro launcher V2.8.1.155 - all is good in the world except that I can't get the system to link with my car.

I'm brand new to this and am probably doing something very stupid... but I am using the ethernet/OBDII cable which I bought from ebay or marketplace...

I mean, I'm not a total nimrod- I work as an engineer, just have never tried tapping into my CPU before.

Oh, by the way, the vehicle was wrecked and I'm trying to turn the airbag system alarm off, I replaced all the crashed components - totally rebuilt the car - this is the last step...

You will not be able to connect via VIN unless PSdZData is properly installed, and the Car and Laptop have a connection. For this:

1) The Target Connection Window should not be blank (It should show multiple target connections for different chassis')
2) ENET Cable must be good and making good contact in OBDII Port
3) Car must have proper voltage (Make sure motor is running if car is not on a Charger).
4) Laptop must not have Firewall or any Antivirus software running.
5) PC Lan Adapter should get a fallback IP address of 169.254.xxx.xxx (Make sure it is using DHCP and does not have a Static IP address assigned to it)

I verified all the steps that you listed, couple things:

1. The target window ONLY shows my VIN and the 169.254.xx IP address but the "connect" button is grayed out.

2. ENET cable is reading cuz i get my VIN listed.

Yes, you have a PSdZData issue. Extracted psdzdata folder gets copied to c:\data so you end with c:\data\psdzdata. Make sure you do not have c:\data\psdzdata\psdzdata, which is a common mistake.
