Considering a FWD car over an s2000

So i've been combing the used car market head to toe in search of a good s2000 for around $10,000 or so. Ive found plenty but lately I hate to say it but I've considered picking up a fwd car instead. Something performance of course, maybe an Integra Type R, SRT-4, RSX Type S etc. The car wouldn't be left stock obviously and I haven't abandoned the s2000 but between northeastern climate and usability concerns I'm entertaining other cars.

WRX is out because it's just not a very strong car, many in my range have high miles, new motors and or tired drivetrains as well as being overpriced so I'm not going there. Performance is still the top priority but other things need to fit in place as well.

The s2000 can handle snow but between a limited budget, having to travel far once I do actually find one that is blowing good compression numbers I am getting frustrated

I think they are ugly but i had a friend who had a neon srt-4 and that thing was fast as hell. Very cheap to mod also. The car was also very reliable

Type-R if you can find a nice one. One of the best FWD handling cars of its time. I'd rather that than an RSX-S.

I wouldn't suggest a FWD over a AWD but a MazdaSpeed 3 would suit your need very nicely.

Had a 1998 a few years back. Absolutely fantastic car and I'd agree, one of the best handling FWD vehicles available. They're simple and pretty inexpensive to mod, jsut be CAREFUL on car theft. Mine was stolen 3 times in a matter of 12 months. Alarm clipped and ignition is simple as pie to bypass.
