AFE downpipe ... anyone try yet?

Did a brief search but didn't find anything... saw this on JLevi's promotional email, but couldn't find it on their site. After googling, I found it...

I was planning on going with a Vanguard exhaust but was worried that if I got a downpipe it'd be too loud/raspy. This downpipe looks to have that angle sorted out.... curious if anyone's actually tested it...

Woah, I didn't even know that afe made a DP for the N55. Why is there a metal pipe protruding from the side though?

i have this down pipe. had the berk 4" before and it was very raspy. aFe fixed this and i LOVE the aFe down pipe. the best part is after i broke it in (approximately 1k miles) i turned off my tune and got zero CELs!

Does anyone else owns this downpipe? I´m thinking of buying one but this is the only thread about it and hasn´t been updated in 4 years.

We carry it.
It is not one of the more popular downpipes but it gets the job done.

Mike-

Have you used it though? I would be very interested in if the resonator really helps to reduce extra noise inside the cabin.

That being said, do the regular downpipes create an uncomfortable experience inside the cabin? Or is it more just a little extra noise?

I have the VRSF and it has only a little drone. And I hate drone. You can also fiddle with the jb4 ISO settings to help with drone if you have it.

I must know what JB4 settings you are changing to adjust drone?

If you have ISO you have speedo position 10, 11 and 12. I set my 10 to 4.5 ( is FOL 90 on computer settings), and 12 to 3.5. These adjust the wastgate, look it up on the loging parameters sticky over on N54tech.

So I guess adjusting low throttle wastegate duty cycle and stuff will effect exhaust noise? Interesting. Never played with any of those settings.

Pretty much. The less open the wastegate the quieter the exhaust note, so less drone.

How does that affect performance?
