Aux input question - possible to use ipod and another device?

I am getting a 2009 335 next week and have some audio questions. On my previous 335 (2008) I had the ipod interface kit in the glovebox and I kept an ipod in there. To listen, I selected the CD Changer. I also used the armrest input for my phone audio which was almost exclusively streaming media (Pandora, Spotify, Youtube).

On the 2009, I have the 6FL option so I assume the ipod goes in the armrest and takes up both USB and aux in. How can I also connect my phone? Does the ipod use the CD Changer input, or the Aux input? And is there a way to access the one it doesn't use for my phone?
