F10 535d(US) exhaust

Anyone know of a way to make the exhaust on our cars sound louder? Power is good, but a little more sound would be nice. Probably the DPF causing things to be too quiet.

Is the DPF a legal requirement in the US?

You need it in the UK to pass the MOT.

Are you serious about cutting muffler off to get more sound? I tried that on my US 335d (e90) and nothing, nada, zilch. Kinda skeptical about cutting muff off, but if you have seen this before with great results let me know.

Cutting mufflers off is by far the worst idea

That's been my experience as well with these things. Tried it in the past and no luck.
