What effect if any would using a tire that is 8/10 of an inch taller have on a 128i as far as driving or safty issues?

What tire spec are you considering running?

If the tire is too tall it poses a few problems. It has the potential to rub your fenders, it will throw off your speedometer, and it could potentially cause brake failure.
