Which headunit do you have?

You will need to patch the unit to change region. You can use feature installer. PM sent.

Hi all. Could you help me with changing the region? A car from the USA arrived in Ukraine. BMW G12 2016. NBT EVO installed. I updated the all car to the latest software using the ESIS through the factory FA. I did all the coding and everything works great. Also change via coding language to russian, but FSC codes to activate Carplay and EU navi. But one problem. Since the firmware is still for the US market, it does not have voice navigation prompts or voice control. I need to flash the version for Europe as i know. Tell me if I want to do it right? I calculated FA, changed the configuration Typschlüssel=7E23 to Typschlüssel=7E21 and calculated TAL. This is what Esis suggests me to flash. Will there be a black screen radio after flashing the firmware? Thank you. Thanks for every hint.

Make sure hwel is black using the hw id button. If you do correct region change patch it will also do region change fix

Before flashing you have to make sure the HWEL in nbt is balck or it will fail in flash. Use Hw id from svtactual button to make it black.
If you have done region change patch you will have to do it again and this should also fix region change lock

I'll try to describe it in more detail with screenshots. Perhaps this information will be useful for others who have encountered this problem.

Here is my stock FA, read direct from car.Typschlüssel=7E23. In this FA config i update all the car modules to last istep 22-11-540


After updating the firmware, if I calculate TAL from the updates, I am offered only two parameters in the NBT block






but when i try to make update there is no firmware update avialable, so all is good in this step.



Now I read FA from car, then edit it in FA editor and change only Typschlüssel from 7E23 to 7E21. Than i make procedure as usual, calculate TAL, SVT, SVT_soll and Esys offer to flash ATM, DME, EGS and HU_NBT.



And here is the most important step. I read that with such flashing, in the FA line I must select an unmodified file. And choose to read the FA with the VCM, not my moded FA. Right?
Also, what checkboxes should I select in the NBT line? Won't this firmware lead to the NBT becoming bricked, with the subsequent impossibility of flashing it? Thanks in advance everyone, sorry for the long post.

You cant flash ENTD and NAVD with esys.
Changing Typschlüssel will bring up different firmware thats why you are getting the new update available. The loaded fa doesnt really matter, its used for cddeploy which is vo coding.
Whatever you do dont select hwinstall and hwdeinstall. Also before calculating tal make sure the HWEL in NBT ot any module you want to flash is black or it will fail in flash. Use Hw id from svtactual button to make it black.

The only thing you need to do is remove two checkboxes in the settings (I highlighted them with red arrows), otherwise you will get an error when starting flash: a vcm-update after a tal-execution is not possible without a proper fa

and check Read VIN from FA, do not Enter vin, otherwise you will get an error:
serialization of ncd object......

And switch only HU_NBT2 sw Deploy, cd deploy, iba deploy. Other ECU's like DME, EGS etc. don't switch on, ignore it! Flash only NBT Evo.
