I have this issue going on right now I have a jb4 tune everytime I try to connect to it I get a please check hardware error. I’m also getting check engine light and drivetrain error. The codes that it’s giving are P16FD and P127F

Are you connecting it to the OBDII? I have had issues were that little connector that connects that cable to the unit can get plugged in backwards causing error codes (only would happen if the plug is connected to OBDII.)

If it's not connected to the OBDII, then there is an issue with the JB4.

Yes it’s connected to the obd2 i checked if it’s connected the wrong way but it’s not all the connections are connected I’m thinking if I should remove the jb4 completely

It will run without the OBDII connection (you just get more limited performance since it cannot read other parameters). If you unplug it from the OBDII port, does it still have the errors?

I ended up removing the jb4 and the car went back to normal no driving issues or anything.
