Just had this very problem on my 320i touring. Had the warnings come up on the centre console but when I pulled over I was surprised that the fan hadn’t kicked in and the temperature gauge on the dash was within normal range. Plus there was no warning of low coolant even though the header tank was empty.
Car is in the garage awaiting the dreaded estimate to fix. But thanks for the post, found it really useful. Definitely something for all drivers of this model to consider. |

We did get our money back with the recall AND they re did it with the "new" part. Whole lot of bullshit, they should have upgraded it when they did it the first time since it was a known issue |
