335xi not downshifting at dead stop
Hi guys, just recently my 335xi stopped downshifting, i own the 2007 model without paddle shifters so just the shift knob. Before it worked perfectly fine, but now it's stopped working entirely, it'll only allows me to upshift, and yes i know i'm not like trying to downshift when the engine is revving at 6000 or something, it simply wont. So the problem is whether i'm at a dead stop or at a point in which i can usually downshift the lever gives me no response and the car does not downshift. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before?

There is an issue with the moicroswitch in the gear shift lever selector shorting out.
There's a DIY giude somewhere....I think you baically just re-run some wire. You should try that out. When I had this issue, it was covered under CPO and there was a shadow fault stored for it. |
