AE DRL's
Ok I've been reading and searching the forums for a straight answer . I have an 07 335i sedan (build date 10/06) . Can I code to have the AE's set as drl and welcome lights or do I need a special harness does anyone with my build date coded this successfully ? If not I have been finding threads where people are wiring these functions by tying into the cig lighter power wire and foot well light power wire for welcome and DRL's . Thanks in advance

I bought the DAEOS kit at Jlevi's. Your AE are lighting all the time now and its only 59 bucks.
But for the DRL bulb itself, you have to either code it out if you got a Canadian model; or just opt it out in your idrive or menu at the steering wheel if you're from the US.

I think after the lcis came out, you can code as DRLs.
I had mine wired to my cigg lighter and footwell as you mentioned. |

If you hook the ae's to the footwell the ae's Will come on when you unlock the door and won't they come on as well when you open the door too? Just wondering in- case I'm working on the car and have the door or doors open and have the ae's on.
