Wallkill Airport DFC runway racing yesterday
So Driving Force hosted a great event yesterday at Wallkill airport and I saw first hand how amazing and durable the E9X M3 is. All day two M3 coupes ran repetitively and didn't stop with an exception of lunch. One car was a bolt on - tune car and the other was an ESS VT575. and I was super impressed. The company that it was keeping up with was incredible. The DCT was highly attributed to that I'm sure but for Gallardos to put only a few lengths on the bolt on car after several runs regardless of e gear or 6 speed made me slow clap for that M3.
I did manage to get a ride in the big daddy 1200 whp GTR of the event and it nearly made me lose my breakfast. The snapshot from Vbox is attached in the last pic (60 - 130 in 4.42 seconds, 1/4 10.61 @ 150.1 mph). I'm sure you'll all like it. It was a 40 degree morning so all cars had traction issues until mid day. Nonetheless here are a few pics.
