will this make everything in INPA appear in German?
Most of mine shows in English right now, I remember last time I updated something on it it switched to German? Will this cause that to happen?

Like any computer the software can have bugs or glitches or not perform as desired. Occasionally due to customer feedback / reoccurring faults / FASTA diagnostic data / performance requirements / emissions data / fuel economy... BMW tweak the ecu firmware. These small changes are often advantageous to customer and or BMW.
The most recent major one I can think of is the CAS module update which prevents thieving bast*rds with cheap key programmers from programming a blank key and driving your car away! Once your modules have been updated by ISTA P 2.53.3 for example at a dealer or Indy or indeed at home if you have the kit, You'll need 53.3 sp-daten to code your cars modules (digital speedo etc etc etc) |

Can not having the latest sp-daten files lead to connectivity issues? I'm trying to do the Alpina flash but WinKFP is saying it can't communicate with the ECU/controlunit when I try to program. I am able to read fault codes with INPA however.
I believe my daten is v49, which is what came with the coding pack you linked me to in my other thread. |

If you have never updated your DATEN files before, search around for 'BMW CODING TOOL.' It really simplifies the update process. |

The version I currently have has some stuff in English, but my errors I pull are in German. Will this help with that at all or do I need something else?
