Car at Port to leave!!....:)

Hey folks

just called in and the m is at the port waiting for a ship...

Anyway to get more info on this, like what ship it might be on and such?

Someone on forum told me a ship is leaving may 22nd, hopefully im on it.

Overall been such a quick process though, ordered car on may 6th, by the 18th it was done, and today the 20th its at the port.

You're lucky. I had my car go straight from the Welt (Did Euro delivery) to the dock. That was Monday, May 10. Then I call the 800 number. Recording tells me in transit. I'm thinking, Awesome! It's on a ship. Yeah right. I call my SA, and she tells me it's still at the port and it's leaving on 5/26. More than 2 weeks from the port to the boat. Heart breaker.

I did feel the exact same pain.

You can ask your dealer the status of the car as they have more up-to-date information as opposed to the automated phone service which is delayed by a day or two. (Actually in my second order, the day before i picked up the car, the system told me it was in production) so it can be wrong and so as the website. Call your dealer and ask them where it is. its a part of their job. Once it gets on a boat, go to vesseltracker.com and you can trace it or get the port arrival date. Start calling your dealer back once it arrives to US port

Mine is at the port waiting in line for a ship also...ordered April 15th, been waiting for a ship for about a week now. I thought a ship sailed every 3-4 days. Hopefully the 22nd at the latest also! I just go by the 800 number which I check once a day.

And you will see the next ship, Fedora, leaves on the 26 and arrives on the 9th in NY.

The Medea leaves Bremerhaven on Saturday, May 22nd for a 3 week voyage to Port Hueneme, CA.

The waiting is killing me too, let's just forget about the next three weeks and be pleasantly surprised!

just checked on bmwusa.com, and my car is at "awaiting transport" status

Picked up 5/7, dropped off the 128i same day, and it's scheduled to leave on 5/30 on PLEIADES LEADER, going to Long Beach, California.

I just dropped off my M3 today in Frankurt and just in time to get on the loading truck. There's a possibility that it will get on PLEIADES LEADER as well.

Umm, well, if your car is "at port" than the next ship is Medea to the West Coast.

They're not going to keep it at port for 2 more weeks and then ship it on the next one...

I believe a ship leaves for the west coast every week

while its every 2 weeks for east coast

Mine's also at the port (finished assembly on the 14th). Hopefully all of us East coasters make it onto the Fedora.

Ships like the "FAUST" a Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship can carry up to 8,000 cars.

You should try and find (Google) a download link for a Discovery HD Theater show called "Mighty Ships: Faust" - absolutely amazing documentary on how these cars are loaded on these ships and so much more. Great stuff.

You can also call your dealer and he will know exactly what ship your particular car is on...

I dont understand why some of you are waiting so long? i ordered my car saturday may 8th and on may 19th its already at the port ready to come to east coast, im sure its on the fedora, my dealer said he put priority 1 on my car
