MST Intake S55?

Anyone running the MST intake for the S55?

How is it? What's maintenance typically like?

I've had them for some time. No issues. Fitment was good.

1) Great, how's the wooshy noise increase 1-10? Assuming front mount SSRs are like a 9/10, what would you rank MSTs like a 6/10?

2) Couldn't find proper info on this but what mileage interval do you typically wash them out and re-oil? Or is it moreso based on climate/region?

Thanks man appreciate your input.

They’re definetly got some good sound. Front mount ones would be louder. Can’t comment on intervals. In the last 2 years of owning the car I maybe put 2-3k miles on it. Car is currently awaiting a single kit. Ordered the new Vargas setup.

Side note, don’t go on stage 2 with MST turbo inlets, with their intake. You’ll get compressor surge. Flutters a ton.

I had MST intakes before I got my project gamma front mount intakes.

Loudness from the driver’s seat POV is actually pretty close. From the outside, the front mount intakes are louder to me.

I’ve got one for sale if you’re interested…located in Northern VA. Used for about 3-4k miles.

I'm running MST intakes for 2 years -highly recommend, no issues, great fitment, no rubbing, no weird idles.

I've also had the SSR intakes before the MST - got rid of them because of constant rubbing on the passenger side intake piping.

As far as wooshy sounds, if the SSR is 10/10, the MST would be 8/10.

the SSR is slightly louder with the steel mesh filters, but I just couldn't get the fitment right without rubbing. Made the switch and no regrets.
