Wheels / tires 18" - 19" just want more rubber

Hello All,

I am new to this forum, I have a 2008 335I coupe I just picked up a few weeks ago. I have added the JB2 and Burger cone filter, this realy woke up the car. I have read alot on this forum regarding wheels and what what I realy want is more rubber, see the attached picture of the OEM wheels that are the stock fitment with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 run flats. How much more tire will fit the stock wheels? What rim size works better, the cars look good on 19s but do they perform better. I live on the cental coast Ca. and do alot of back road driving, the roads are not all in great shape. I am also looking in to an LSD, Is there a factory part?

Welcome to the forums!

you can run a 235/40 and 265/35. Then ditch the RFT tires. Go with Michelin PSS tires and you will have plenty of grip for those mods

If you want to upgrade to 19s I would go with a 235/35 amd 265/40 same tire. 19s will make the ride a little rougher. Performance will not change much.

For an LSD go aftermarket. With Quaife or Wavetrac

If you have anymore question shoot me a PM
