Highest milage N55?

Hello everyone!

I would like to know who has the highest milage N55 on here!

My 2012 335i F30 has 385,000km (240,000mls)

If you own one or know of one that has a very high milage please let me know.

Also if you can, let me know what went wrong with it during that time I would really appreciate it!

Wow! That’s awesome! Any major corrective maintenance issues to get to that high mileage? Any good tips/recommendations? My guess is you were VERY GOOD at preventative maintenance along the way! Congratulations!

Very nice! I know there’s a guy with an F10 N55 that has over 300k miles on his and has a whole thread about it, seems like he hasn’t had many problems either. I seem to remember that he pulled the rod bearings at over 200k and they were fine, he replaced them anyways since it was already apart to that point.

Mines a 2012 with 104k, with about 30k of that done in the last year and a half by me, so not really that much at all. Low boost pressure and crushing at low RPMs with the 8AT because of the low end torque seem to keep this engine from being too stressed most of its life so not too surprised to see high mileage examples like these, hope to join the over 200k club in a few years

Most of this milage was done by the previous owner as I purchased the car used.

However I can see that he changed a few coolant lines as well as fixed the usual oil leaks!

I see the sump gasket is leaking, so it would be a good time to take a look at the bearings if I can get it done!

I do however have an issue, when I start the car, especially after standing overnight there is a puff of white/grey smoke fronm the exhaust.
I'm not sure if that is the turbo going or not, hopefully it's not piston rings or valve stem seals!

Yes, I have seen his thread as well, very very impressive milage he has done!

I am assuming and really hoping that this car has been a long distance traveler for most of it's life.

Unfortunately, it does need some TLC, as the previous owner clearly started to give up on some maintenance in the end.

The Adaptive M Suspension is finished and the car is so low it scrapes on even the smallest of bumps.

Does anyone know if I can put standard F30 shocks instead of the Adaptive shocks if I replace them?

And how do I decode the Adaptive shocks out of the car's computer?

Hopefully it will run for a long time further, as I am extremely thorough with how I care for cars!

And here I am thinking my 117k miles was high... very cool to see an N55 with so many miles still spinning.

Wow, that's high, very impressive!

It seems that with good maintenance the N55 is pretty much bullet proof for most of us
