E70 cargo cover on F15?

Is the cargo cover on an E70 interchangeable with F15 cargo cover? Anyone know? Thanks in advance !

Looks like they are interchangeable. At least online shops sell 1 cargo cover for both f15 and e70 models.

BMW has no issue saving money by using a single part across multiple platforms. But if you were to do a simple look up in one of the online part databases...you can check the 11 digit part number for the e70 X5 and f15 X5 and see that the rear cargo cover have TWO DIFFERENT 11 digit part nbrs.

If parts are interchangeable...then they would have the same part number...like #8 (e70) & #4 (F15)... which is the rod that runs through the cover as well as the left/right supports that the cargo cover clicks into like #2 (e70) and #3 (f15). Since the reinforcement rod and left/right supports are the same...I hope that the cargo cover is the correct length & width if you decide to go through with the purchase. Perhaps the only difference is the color of the e70 vs f15 cargo cover :

yeah, double check please just in case. Also, it seems there might be 2 versions - simple one and the one with extra screen that you can raise up - that separates cargo from rear seats.

...or be the guinea pig...if you go through with the purchase...PLEASE post back if they are totally swappable in regards to length/width & fitment into the left/right supports. The color codes...well...may not be spot on...but at least your test (if you come back to resolve this thread) will be informative to the forum that the e70 & f15 cargo covers can be used in either generation in a pinch.

I'm tempted to buy an E70 cargo cover and use it in my F15. Did anyone ever find out if they were interchangeable?

The E70 covers seem a lot cheaper than the F15 covers where I am located at least.

In my experience, no. I bought a E70 one locally and it did not fit my F15.

They interchange. I had one left over from my f15 and put it in my e70 👍🏽✌🏽
