Nice car! Can't go wrong with an e92 as for the grilles, you can either buy the BMW performance grilles which run about $50, or just go buy a can of plastidip or spray paint and do them yourself for about $8(plastidip) or $4(spray paint) lol. It's just a matter of taking out the grilles and painting them

Thanks man, so where can i buy these BMW performance grilles from?

Edit: Found where to get them from, they're glossy black though i would have preferred matte.

Dude seriously just paint them yourself... It's a complete waste of $50 and you can't even tell they're not OEM if you paint the stockers with a little bit of patience. Most people on here would laugh at you for paying that much for the grilles. DIY is king around here.

From what I've heard/seen, Plastidip isn't quite so easy to find in AU, but a can of flat black spray paint does the trick just as well. I'm sure there are videos on YouTube of removing the kidney grilles. Then just use some common sense when painting them and you really can't go wrong. They literally pop back in with a little push when you're installing them. Should take you no more than 30 minutes for the whole process

Yeah it's pretty hard to find. A shop here sells the stuff but their supply ran out, should have it in a couple of days and I'll go from there.

So, my car has started to come along but i want a more aggressive look. What is the best front lip to buy for my car? I don't want to spent the money of the 'm-sport' front and back bumpers just yet.

Lev, your plasti-dipped grills came out nicely, however, I'd recommend going to your local BMW dealership and getting OEM black kidney grills. I got mine for $40 a grill (which is expensive, but they wont chip or anything). I believe that if you can keep things as OEM as possible, you'll have less trouble down the line. Other than that your plans for the car sound great. Please keep us updated!

Just do a search for the OEM aero lip. Fairly subtle (As far as lips go) but makes a difference
And nice job on the grilles, contrasts nicely with the space grey

Oh and are my eyes playing tricks on me, or did you pick up some new wheels too?

Yeah i'll price up a OEM aero lip and then price up the m-sport bumpers and see if it is worth buying the aero lip then spending the money on the m-sport bumpers down the track.. Wheels aren't mine but your eyes sure aren't playing tricks on you, sent mine in the get painted matte black and the guy was nice enough to let me borrow a set of rims/tyres so i can still drive around

Hey guys needs your opinion, i want to purchase the m sport kit, don't really want to spend the money on OEM how does this mtech look...

http://marsperformance.com.au/M-Tech...92-Coupe-06-09

Is it a legit mtech? And what's the price like? Are side skirts worth it?

Nice start!

any time you see the word "style" it means replica. So I would hesitate to call that kit "legit" since it isn't OEM. Sure replicas can fit well and look great but when it comes to bumpers I'd want to stick to OEM, or go through a reputable vendor on the forum like JGMODS for the replicas.

If you want something cheap and easy for the front get the aero lip. Here's mine.
