Are the "Race" exhausts louder than the "Sport" exhaust? I tried searching the Eisenman website, and found little to NO info about this.

I found this at iND. Fairly helpful on the specs. I can't say the youtube videos are too helpful on perceived volume.

In your opinion on cruising, do these drone? Would you think the RACE version being too loud going down the highway?

SPORT-Version:

Moving vehicle = 75 db
Stationary vehicle = 92 db at 6.225 1/min
25% flow improvement over stock
Weight of the muffler = apr. 21 kg

RACE-Version:

Moving vehicle = apr. 95 db
Stationary vehicle = apr. 102 db at 6.225 1/min
32% flow improvement over stock
Wight of the muffler = apr. 21 kg

That’ll depend on your plans and given this is strictly opinion it’ll have to be taken with a grain of salt. Just axle back and leaving the cats and resonators it sounds very good which is what I did. There’s a little zone on the highway that’ll drone a but but that’s most exhausts. If you’re planning catless or anything else I can’t really comment but I’d imagine it’ll be pretty loud. It is NOT as loud as a full FI system and NOT as loud as the Meistershaft GT rear section. I’d say it MAY most resemble the Borla.

I have the race, and I’ve had it with stock X pipe, test pipes. And now completely catless with Bimmerworld x pipe. Sound is so subjective but I found the race extremely manageable on highway driving with stock Xpipe and cats. Sure you’ll get a little drone, but nothing bothersome. One thing I’ll say is I see people selling their Sports all the time to move to the Race. People buy it to get an exotic sound without drone and realize it’s just too quiet.

If someone just wants the exhaust, I'm in the market for the connecting pipes. Hit me up if needed.

I second this. I have race axleback with AA test pipe and stock x-pipe with 2ndary cats. The sound is amazing and I feel lucky to have found a perfect tone/sound for my likings. I installed the exhaust first and it was a bit drony to me but very manageable with certain gear shifting pattern (avoid low to mid 2k rev zone). Then, AA test pipe was installed and it made a world of difference. Slightly louder, a lot less drone, and noticeably perky and responsive throttle. Of course, adding the stage 2 tune helped too. At this price, I'd say this is a good buy. Btw, I get lots of compliments about the sound and the look of the tips. I think this exhaust compliments the V8 engine the way it was designed for.

Btw, GLWS OP!
